The university has a four-story dormitory building with a total capacity of 346 students. It is situated in a suburban district close to the campus. The dorm offers double and triple rooms and a courtyard with a sports field and a park.
Each room is well furnished with a private bathroom and a balcony. The dorm offers an excellent opportunity for socialisation among students in entertaining areas like pool tables, darts, fitness, computer, and TV rooms.
The University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest collaborates with a property agency to assist students with housing needs.
You can also find a student buffet or cook food in the communal kitchens equipped with microwaves and electric cookers. The price per month for a bed and usage of the facilities is €200.
Students who prefer to rent private accommodation must keep in mind that prices in Budapest are a bit higher than the average in Hungary. You will need around €1,000 per month, €400 of which is for rent and around €200 for basic utilities.
University of Veterinary Medicine Admission & Entry Requirements
There are presently 104 places on offer for the English-taught programme. Acceptance onto the course requires an entrance exam, comprising written and oral elements. The written component assesses your proficiency in Biology, Chemistry, and English. Please note, native English speakers are exempt from the language exam. Exam results are typically released within two days, and a free re-sit is available if required.
Applications operate on a rolling basis from the 1st of January through to the 30th of June, depending on available places.
The period to apply for the scholarship programme runs from the 15th of November until the 16th of January.
