Accommodation

The university has 4 student dormitories in Bari with a total capacity of 550 students. There are single and shared rooms, and each one is furnished with beds, desks, chairs, bedsheets, and private bathrooms. Common areas like laundry rooms, kitchens, and study rooms around the building are at your disposal at any time. 

The dormitories are located in different parts of the city. The monthly rent for a dormitory room is based on the type of room and the location of the building.

If you prefer another form of accommodation, like renting a flat on your own or living with friends, you will need around €1,000 per month. For example, a one-bedroom apartment costs around €400 per month, and the price for a three-bedroom flat is around €700. Expenses like food, transport, and utilities will cost you about €600 monthly.

University of Bari Aldo Moro Admission & Entry Requirements

Like many Italian medical schools, this one also uses the IMAT examination. Your ranking will be based on the achieved IMAT score and grades from your high school diploma. 

IMAT is an examination that consists of 60 questions from logical thinking and scientific subjects. It is used by most of Italian medical universities as a means of ranking, but it can be sat in many countries around the world. The duration is 100 minutes for 60 multiple-choice questions.

Term Dates

The academic year begins in the mid/last week of September and the first semester lasts until the end of February. 

The second semester starts right after the end of the first and ends in July.

In the last two weeks of both terms, the examinations are held.
