Life as a Medical Student in Bratislava, Slovakia

The city of Bratislava has a population of more than 430,000 inhabitants, which makes it the largest in Slovakia. Apart from being the political, economic, and cultural center of the country, the city hosts some of the top European Universities. While the center of Bratislava is a cultural marvel, students of Slovak Medical University usually choose to locate closer to the campus, which is on the western outskirts of the city. The region has a much more rural feel, and admirers of nature will feel at home there.

The area has several parks in the vicinity, and the Little Carpathians are much like the backyard of Slovak Medical University. Lovers of scenery should not miss those casual strolls along the Danube – nothing lifts the spirit quite like them.
