What is Graduate Entry Medicine?

The graduate entry medicine pathway (commonly referred to as “fast-track” and “accelerated MD”) allows biomedical/life science graduates and healthcare professionals with similar academic qualifications to earn a Doctor of Medicine degree.

Using the recognition of previously studied subjects, graduate entry students can enter into a 6-year undergraduate course at a later stage, usually in year 2 or 3.

Another option is to apply for a standalone 4-year MD course. These are accelerated MD programmes for students who already hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field. They are designed to deliver a comprehensive medical education over a shorter period by building upon the student’s prior knowledge and skills.

What are the Entry Requirements For Graduate Entry in Medicine Abroad?

To be eligible for a graduate entry medicine pathway, you have to:

  • present a copy of your previous university transcript
  • have a passport
  • be capable of speaking English

As part of their entry requirements, some medical universities in Poland may require you to pass an entrance exam, attend an interview, or take an English test. If you are looking to study graduate entry medicine in Europe without entrance exams, a medical school in Poland or Georgia will be your best option.

Graduate Entry Dentistry in Europe, in English

Few medical schools in Europe offer a graduate entry dentistry route or fast-track dentistry as it is popularly known. Of those that do, most offer the chance to enter into a normal undergraduate course and start from year 2 or 3.

Accelerated Dentistry Courses

Already have a medical education background? Afraid you don’t have the time to invest 5 or 6 years in dentistry? We have the perfect solution for you! Get a dental degree as quickly as possible in a dentistry graduate entry pathway.

This option enables you to enter into the 2nd or 3rd year of the undergraduate course by having subjects that you’ve already studied before recognised. As a graduate with a degree in biomedical-related science or a healthcare professional, you won’t have to go through an entrance exam or an interview again. How does this work? It’s simpler than you think.

Depending on your qualifications, you may be exempted from retaking previously passed subjects. Universities will equivalate your previous qualifications and hours to determine which semester you will be eligible to enter into.

Graduate Entry Dentistry in Europe Entry Requirements

The entry requirement for admission into the graduate-entry dentistry pathway is a previous biomedical or life science degree. Your previous qualifications will prove that you are eligible to study an accelerated dentistry course and determine how many dental school years you can skip.

There are no entrance exams. The only entry requirements for the graduate entry dentistry route are a university transcript, passport, and English language proficiency.
