Accommodation

The University of Novi Sad has 10 dormitory buildings, but dormitories are available only for local students who are eligible, as they would receive state funding for that purpose. Generally, international students prefer to stay at privately rented apartments located around the faculty of medicine.

If you prefer private accommodation in Novi Sad, you can rent a 1-bedroom flat at the price of €300 per month. Basic utilities such as electricity, water, heating, and Internet cost around €100. Food and other living expenses are up to your standards, but you will need more than €300/month.

University of Novi Sad Admission & Entry Requirements

Each candidate must have a high school leaving certificate or a similar level of education. You can prove your English language proficiency with a certificate or sit for the university’s exam and interview to evaluate your language skills.

All the applicants must sit an entrance exam in Biology and Chemistry held at the faculty. As the official partner of the Faculty of Medicine, Medlink Students will support you to prepare for the entrance exam to give you a competitive edge over other applicants.

About University Exams and the Way of Teaching

When it comes to university exams and how they’re held, it very much depends on the particular department you’re in, but in most cases, students will have one or a combination of the following:

  • Multiple choice questions and answers
  • Oral examinations
  • Written and practical tests

Exams are spread throughout the year instead of being concentrated at the end, which greatly reduces the stress while studying at the Medical University of Novi Sad. There are no state exams at this level of study.
