About Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov University
The Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov University was founded in 1963 in the beautiful coastal city of Burgas, Bulgaria. In 2019, the university established its modern new Faculty of Medicine, which is dedicated to training highly skilled medical professionals.
The medical school is equipped with the latest teaching equipment in accordance with state and international standards for high-quality education. It consists of 6 academic buildings, a sports facility, a medical service centre, The Central Research Laboratory, and the Electronic Computing Centre. Additionally, the university has 3 student canteens and 3 hostels, which are large enough to provide accommodation for all students who are not residents of Burgas.

» Step 1: Students must complete out an online application form along with the necessary paperwork.
» Step 2: As soon as the university receives the application, it issues an offer letter. Students can put their fees into the university's bank account.
» Step 3: After 30 days, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia delivers an accreditation letter to the students. Subsequently, the institution receives a ministry order and sends the students an invitation letter.
» Step 4: After the above process is finished, the approval of a visa takes 30 days.

Admission Requirements for the Medicine Programme at Prof. Assen Zlatarov University
To join the medicine programme in English at the University Prof Dr Assen Zlatarov, Burgas, Bulgaria, prospective students must meet the following criteria:
- Must have a high school diploma
- Must have studied and achieved good grades in Biology and Chemistry. For non-EU citizens, a minimum GPA of 62% in these subjects is required.
- English language proficiency must be demonstrated via a certificate or an English test.
Additionally, students need to participate in an online 3-part entrance exam:
- Part 1 – Biology test: 60 minutes, 30 questions, with a maximum score of 30 points.
- Part 2 – Chemistry test: 60 minutes, 30 questions, covering both Organic and Inorganic Chemistry with a maximum score of 70 points.
- Part 3 – English diagnostic test: 60 minutes, 2 parts consisting of reading comprehension and use of English with a maximum score of 50 points.
Native English speakers with an official certificate are exempt from taking the language test.

The Faculty of Medicine at Burgas University typically hosts 4 separate exam dates:

The enrollment period is between the beginning and end of September, after which the academic year starts on the 1st of October.
