How it worksHeel pain can occur for many reasons, whether it’s heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, or general overuse. All of these causes can be aggravated by the impact of each step. Dr. Scholl’s Pain Relief Orthotics for Heel provide a combination of cushioning and arch support to protect from the jarring shock of each step. |
Heel spursVisible via X-ray and protruding as much as half an inch, heel spurs themselves aren’t often very painful, but they can cause heel pain and can be present with other conditions such as plantar fasciitis, and Achilles Tendinitis.* *Not a medical diagnosis. Plantar fasciitisPlantar Fasciitis is the pain and inflammation at the point where the thin band of tissues called the plantar fascia connects your heel bone to your toes. This tissue helps support the bones of your arch and absorbs some of the strain you put on your feet, whether from running or other kinds of vigorous exercise. Pain that is commonly intense when getting out of bed is a common sign of Plantar Fasciitis, a particular type of heel pain.* *Not a medical diagnosis. For information purposes only.
