Description

A Brief Overview

Firstly, the best-selling Color Atlas of Forensic Medicine and Pathology is now in its second edition an easy-to-read guide to principles of forensic pathology, from simple definitions to advancing concepts of all kinds of death.

This book contains more than 1,600 full-color images, including 400 photos more than the first edition, to improve comprehension for healthcare practitioners and others with fewer medical credentials.

Also, the book presents the different types of patterns created by deaths using careful visual proof of postmortem changes of the human body. These deaths can be results of the following:

  • Causes (Natural)
  • Protocols for diagnosis
  • Protocols for treatment
  • Abuse of medications
  • Toxicity
  • Abuse of children
  • Weapons of fire
  • Blunt tools
  • Sharp equipment.
  • Burns
  • Asphyxia

A whole new section on histopathology is also added in the book. To explain what appears in each of the images and to compare similar but distinct pathologies, the text uses a certain, detailed language.

A valuable technical guide for death detectives, forensic pathologists, and medical examiners is this book.
